Jake sports his new knee, elbow and wrist guards with a homemade... weapon?

A regular dilemma for us: rustic and satisfyingly earthy? Or rich, complex and full-bodied?

  1. Speaking of coffee- that coffee I bought in Seattle is awful. So am I missing something? Am I supposed to do something to it? It's a bag of incredibly dry beans of a light color. It makes the lightest most unflavored coffee I've ever had. I feel like I'm missing some fancy step that people out there know about. Any ideas?

  2. Hmm. It's hard to say. How did you make it? With a drip coffee maker? Did you buy beans or grounds? If beans, how did you grind them?

  3. Beans, my normal espresso machine. I ground them coarse, and it didn't taste great, so I reground them fine. The beans were super super dry, it was weird.
